The story of My Stepmom Mia Malkova Needs a Date
The setup
Dad is working late. The house is quiet, and his stepmom is wearing the red dress. She heard her stepson call her hot, a compliment that was never supposed to reach her, and she is not planning to let him take it back.
The whole story takes place over a single evening. It starts with a conversation in the hallway and moves through the kitchen, the living room and a long, unplanned dinner for two.
What to expect
Five short episodes, one evening and almost nothing but dialogue. The series is built around the moment a throwaway line becomes an invitation, and it spends its time on the awkwardness, the teasing and the decision to stay.
It is a lean, contained story, and one of the easier Candyshorts series to start with because it needs no background.
A closer look
An evening is a small canvas, and the series uses all of it. The first episode is a hallway conversation, the last is the end of the night, and everything in between is the decision to keep going. Because the story is so short and so contained, it is easy to watch in one go, and it works well as an introduction to the way Candyshorts tells its stories.
The cast
The stepmom is played by the AI twin of Candy Creator Mia Malkova. The stepson is an AI-generated character.
Who it suits
Viewers who like one-night, one-location stories and a lead who turns an overheard comment into a plan.
