The setup

Two couples each booked a quiet weekend in a mountain cabin, and the booking system saw no problem with that. They arrive within an hour of each other, keys in hand and confirmation emails on their phones, and find out that Lodge 69 was rented twice. It is too late to drive back and every other place in the valley is full, so the weekend gets shared, whether anyone likes the idea or not.

What began as a mix-up becomes a joint holiday: one living room, one fireplace and a group of adults who would all rather not be seen to be uncomfortable.
